The Swedish School in Silicon Valley operates in the San Jose, California area and offers supplementary education in the Swedish language for children between the ages of three and eighteen. The education aims to help our students maintain and develop their Swedish language, both academically and socially. ββββββββββ βββββββββ
The Swedish School in Silicon Valley follows the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum in Swedish for supplementary education for Swedish students abroad. Students are divided into groups based on age and language skills, and lessons are led by a dedicated teacher per group. The number of students varies from year to year. We use Swedish books and other materials about Sweden and Swedish traditions. The youngest groups explore the Swedish language by singing songs, reading books, doing crafts, and playing games.

We want to be an active part of the Swedish community in the San Francisco Bay Area and therefore organize events during the school year where we also welcome children who are not students with us. Examples of these events are our annual Christmas party, Easter celebrations, movie nights, and concerts.
